80 YEARS OF UNAM-SAN ANTONIO: MORE THAN 100,000 STUDENTS

As part of its 80th-anniversary commemoration, the campus will present the book “Historias de la UNAM-San Antonio: 80 aniversario” (Stories of UNAM-San Antonio: 80th Anniversary). This publication compiles experiences, testimonies, and anecdotes that reflect the campus’s trajectory, serving as a vivid testament to its impact on students and faculty alike. The anniversary celebration will also feature numerous academic and cultural events, including conferences, exhibitions, and artistic presentations, to honor and reflect upon its history and influence on international education.

Throughout its eight decades, UNAM-San Antonio has maintained its commitment to bringing Mexican education and culture to a global audience. The campus has consistently adapted to evolving social and educational landscapes, continuously strengthening its role as a vital cultural and academic link between Mexico and the United States.

The wide range of cultural activities offered by UNAM-San Antonio, such as Day of the Dead celebrations and other traditional Mexican festivities, has served a dual purpose: showcasing the richness of Mexican cultural heritage and strengthening Mexican identity internationally. These efforts have solidified the campus’s important role in promoting cross-cultural understanding and appreciation between Mexico and the United States.
