Marylinn Lynn Miranda, president of UIC, expressed her satisfaction with the tri-national academic meeting. She noted that the event provided a platform for leading scholars and researchers to analyze one of the most complex issues of our time: migration. From various disciplinary perspectives and contexts, they explored the profound implications of migration for families, regions, cities, and countries, with particular relevance to Chicago and the United States as a whole.
