261 Undergraduates Selected for Study Abroad Program
A total of 261 undergraduate students from UNAM have been chosen to participate in the International Student Mobility Program for the 2025-2 semester, an initiative promoting academic exchanges with institutions in 30 countries.
During the farewell ceremony at the School of Engineering, Secretary of Institutional Development Tamara Martínez Ruiz emphasized the program’s significance, noting the diversity of faculties and campuses represented. She highlighted the institutional efforts that made this possible by securing resources and scholarships. “This enriching but demanding experience requires a strong commitment from students and their families,” she stated.
William Lee Alardín, Coordinator of International Affairs, reported that the group includes 166 women and 95 men from 29 academic departments, who will study at 105 institutions across the Americas, Asia, and Europe.
Key destinations include the United States, Argentina, and Colombia in the Americas; China, Japan, and South Korea in Asia; and Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom in Europe, among others.
This initiative underscores UNAM’s ongoing commitment to internationalization, offering students opportunities to expand their academic and cultural horizons through global experiences.
