CEPE at UNAM: A Hub for Spanish Learning and Mexican Culture

Through its Center for Foreign Language Teaching (CEPE), UNAM reaffirms its role as a cultural bridge by welcoming 448 students from 51 countries this winter. The program integrates Spanish language instruction with an immersive exploration of Mexico’s rich cultural heritage.

The diverse cohort, aged 18 to 74, includes students at various academic levels, from high school to doctoral programs. The group—comprising 272 women and 176 men—participates in a vibrant cultural exchange across CEPE’s campuses in Ciudad Universitaria, Polanco, and Taxco.

Participants also immerse themselves in Mexico’s history and art, fostering a deep appreciation for the country’s rich traditions. This holistic approach connects students to a global community that values diversity and cross-cultural understanding.

CEPE stands out by transforming language education into an enriching cultural dialogue. This exchange enhances the educational experiences of students while bolstering UNAM’s reputation as a global leader in international education.

Through initiatives like this, UNAM reinforces its commitment to fostering international connections, bridging nations, and promoting cultural exchange in our increasingly globalized world.
