International Award for Excellence in Energy Innovation

The Institute for Renewable Energy (IER) at UNAM has received OLADE’s (Latin American Energy Organization) Excellence Award for its work on decarbonization technologies and their large-scale impact on public entities.

The award recognizes IER’s solar food drying project, implemented at four plants across Mexico, for its innovative technology and significant contributions to energy sustainability.
