UNAM RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS AWARD FOR ENERGY EXCELLENCE
The Institute for Renewable Energy (IER) at UNAM has been awarded the First Prize for Energy Excellence by the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE) for its pioneering work in decarbonization technologies and their transformative impact on public entities.
The award-winning project, led by researcher Octavio García Valladares, focuses on solar food dehydration technology, currently implemented at four facilities across Mexico. This initiative is making significant contributions to sustainable development.
